Applicants to this position should be prepared to work on a team! We are a fast paced environment that requires effective communication and the ability to work together! Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with medical knowledge preferred, but not required - we are willing to train the right person
- Experience with animals & animal knowledge
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other employees
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds on a regular basis
General Duties
- Provide compassionate care to animals and their owners
- Float around the office helping where needed to keep us on schedule
- Assist the veterinarians and technicians with patient care, such as treatment and animal restraint
- Take care of lab samples - either running tests in our in-house lab or preparing them for shipment to a reference lab
- Answer phones and fill prescriptions
- Help to maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and treatment areas
- Help to educate clients on preventative care
Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday with rotating late night Tuesdays
